        In a candlelight ceremony Sunday evening, December 16, in Cong. Beth Yeshurun, Miss Manette Yvonne Schnitzer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Schnitzer, Port Arthur, became the bride of Arnold Farber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Farber, 4410 Roseneath. Rabbi William S. Malev and Rabbi Avery Grossfield, Port Arthur, officiated, assisted by Cantor George Wagner.
        For her wedding the bride wore a formal gown of white peau de soie enhanced with Alencon lace. The fitted bodice was designed with a scooped neckline with traceries of the lace, and the lace motif was repeated in the dome shaped skirt which flowed into a chapel length train. Her veil of silk illusion fell from a crown of seed pearls, and she carried a cascade of white orchids and glamellias.
        Miss Rochelle Mellon and Mrs. Milton Lefkowitz, sister of the groom, were honor attendants. Misses Carolyn Farber, the groom's sister, and Phyllis Schnitzer, Port Arthur, were bridesmaids. Miss Elaine Freedman was her cousin's junior bridesmaid. They wore sheath gowns of royal blue silk peau de soie with matching headpieces and carried cascades of red roses. Glenda Freedman and Renette Lefkowitz, the bride's cousin and groom's niece, respectively, were flowergirls.
        Mr. Farber was his son's best man. Kenneth Croft, Harvey Zidell, Herbert Burling, and Stephen Schnitzer, Pt. Arthur, were groomsmen. Lee Nodler, Sidney Croft, Albert Krafcheck, Teddy Sposeep, Mark Davis, Mark B. Schnitzer, the bride's brother, ushered. Larry Aron and Ronald Sposeep lighted the candles.
        A reception followed the ceremony. Members of the house-party included Mrs. Barry Kurtz, Mrs. Kenneth Croft, Mrs. Abe Schnitzer, Miss Orin Gardonzik, Dallas, and Miss Sandra Krafcheck.
        Following a wedding trip to Las Vegas, Nev. and Disneyland, Calif., the couple will make their home at 9714 Marlive, Apt. 4, in Houston where both are senior students at the University of Houston.

        Following a trip to Mexico City and Acapulco, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Hochstein are making their home in Houston. Their wedding took place Sunday afternoon, August 11, in the Agudas Achim Synagogue, San Antonio, with Rabbi Amram Prero officiating.
        The bride is the former Miss Minna Rae Cytrin, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sol Cytrin. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hochstein.
        Given in marriage by her brothers, Nathan L. Cytrin and Charles M. Cytrin, the bride wore a gown of ivory silk peau de soie designed with batteau neckline. The bodice featured a wide band of re-embroidered Alencon lace, and the bell skirt formed a chapel train. Her silk illusion veil was held by a beaded Juliet crown, and she carried a French court bouquet of white roses, white orchids and stephanotis.
        Miss Rachelle Hochstein was maid of honor. Junior bridesmaids were Miss Susan Vener, Corpus Christi, and Miss Sarah Lenowitz, Seguin.
        Mr. Hochstein was his son's best man. Groomsmen were Marvin Levy, Tyrone Clifford and Herb Lown; ushering were Melvin Abramson, Larry Levy, and Gerson Cweren.
        A reception was held in the Peraux Room of the St. Anthony Hotel. Miss Frances Blankfield had charge of the brides book. Members of the houseparty were Mesdames Jerry Lebman, Shep Shapiro, I. Dodic, Max Kalvort, and Morris Backer.

        Mrs. Max Borger has returned from Roy, Utah, where she visited her children, Mr. and Mrs. L. Singer (nee Dorothy Borger), and grandchildren, Donnie, Larry and Jerry. Mrs. Borger was accompanied bye her daughter, Mrs. Sam Abramson and children, Shirley, Joyce and Ronnie.

        The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Abe Tiras. She wore a gown of silk peau de soie in blush tone, detailed in peau d'ange lace and bridal jewels. Her veil of silk illusion fell from a circolet of appliqued lace and pearls, and she carried a family Bible covered with a bouquet of white orchids, lily of the valley and stephanotis.
        Mrs. M. D. Brand of Laredo was her cousin's honor attendant. Miss Elfrieda Kubby was bridesmaid. They wore identical gowns of pale pink chiffon accented with wine velvet ribbon, and carried Victorian nosegays of shell pink roses, stepahnotis, blue static and Hahn ivy.
        Stanley Farbstein of Paducah, Ky. served his cousin as best man. John Lester, Beaumont, was groomsman, and ushering were J. C. Enright of Port Arthur and James Goldberg of Ft. Worth.
        Misses Madeline Tocker and Judy Wizig of Waco, nieces of the groom, were members of the houseparty for the reception.
        The bride's mother wore an ice blue peau de soie gown with bodice of imported lace, and the groom's mother chose a pale blue lace gown.
        Following a wedding trip to Biloxi, Miss. and New Orleans, La. the couple will make their home in Port Arthur, Texas.

        The marriage of Miss Carol Jean Morgenstern and Barry Lee Silverman was solemnized on August 30 at the Houston Club. She is the daughter of Mrs. G. J. Morgenstern, 3706 Dumbarton, and the late Mr. Morgenstern, and his parents are Mr. and Mrs. Abe Silverman of Longview, Texas.
        The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Louis Lechenger. She wore an heirloom dress of taffeta and satin which was worn by her mother and great-grandmother, Mrs. M. A. Hirsch of Laredo, at their weddings.
        Miss Joan Morgenstern was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Misses Patsy Morgenstern and Lana Silverman. They wore identical gowns of taffeta and lace in mint green color. In the houseparty were Mrs. Roger Krueger and Miss Elizabeth Daily.
        Mr. Silverman was his son's best man. Groomsmen were John Harriss of Rockdale and Steve Cohen, Houston. Ushers were Louis Morgenstern and Jerry Heffler, Dallas.
        When they return from a wedding trip to San Francisco and Las Vegas the couple will make their home in Dallas. The bride attended Sophie Newcomb College and is a graduate of the University of Texas. Her sorority is Sigma Delta Tau. The oval neckline was traced in re-embroidered Alencon lace, and the skirt was enhanced by a deep border of the lace. The chapel length train was appliqued in motifs of lace. Her veil of silk illusion was held by a cluster of silk roses, and she carried a bouquet of white orchids.
        Mrs. Julius Hochstein was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Seline Adelson, Miss Frances Blankfield and Mrs. Harold Morris. They wore identical gowns of two toned blue silk linen and carried bouquets of white peonies.
        Mr. Gross was his son's best man. Groomsmen were J. Sydney Gross, Julius Hochstein, Marvin Levy, Cary Pasternak, and Matt Pasternak. Ushering were Elliott Levitt, Richard Sirmon and Floyd Broussard, Jr.

         Jacob (Jack) Rosenberg, prominent EI Campo business man for more than 30 years, died May 8 in El Campo. He operated the only stock brokerage business between Houston and Victoria. He belonged to the Lions Club, was a Mason and a past official of the Shrine Club, and leader in Shearith Israel Synagogue in Wharton.
         Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lily Rosenberg (nee Lily Sharman of Houston) of El Campo; a son, Abram Rosenberg, Houston; daughter, Rose Diane Rosenberg, Dallas; and three brothers, Victor Rosenberg, Dallas, Max Rosenberg, Houston, and Mose Rosenberg, New York.
         Funeral services were conducted by Rabbi Israel Rosenberg in the Wheeler Funeral Home chapel on May 9. Interment was in Shearith Israel Cemetery, Wharton.

        Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Maron of Jacksonville, Florida, announce the engagement of their daughter, Marilyn Joyce, to Irwin Arthur Sharman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Sharmon of Wharton, Texas. the wedding is planned for February 15 in the Jacksonville Jewish Center.
        The bride-elect was graduated from Wolfson High School. Her finace attended ath University of Oklahoma and is a member of Phi Lamdo (sic) Phi fraterminty.

Mrs. Bernice (Tincy) Wilkenfield (sic), 69, 2600 Bellefountaine, died December 15 in a Houston hospital. Lifelong resident of Houston. Survivors: husband, Jesse Wilkenfield; daughter, Mrs. Herbert Tiras; son, J. H. (Buddy) Wilkenfield, all of Houston, three grandchildren. Graveside services held Dec. 16 Beth Yeshurun Cemetery. Dr. Robert I. Kahn and Rabbi William S. Malev officiating. Levy Funeral Directors.
